Yet another tight election in Mexico

The candidates from the PRI and PRD for the governor of Chiapas, Mexico are running neck-and-neck after elections were held yesterday. Incumbent Jaime Sabines, from the same political party as Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador, has a 0.29% lead over Jose Antonio Aguilar Bodegas (image via Houston Chronicle) that was endorsed by the same party as alleged president-elect Felipe Calderon.

I'm traumatized after the latest US stolen elections. I just don't trust "neck in neck" results. They always seem to be a sly way for the loser to make it seem they had more a chance than they did, so that when they steal the final tally, it's not TOO hard to believe. Why doesn't anyone win by more than 5% of the vote anymore? Or even ONE PERCENT?

Better to have a tight race and put everyone on their toes than a boring, predictable blowout.
